Bourne Conspiracy demo kicks the door down onto Xbox Live.

Today the Bourne Conspiracy demo makes its way to XBL, Weighing in at 1.2 Gig. Its actually pretty early to see a demo for this game, as its release is a fair while away, but its also welcome to see developers putting out early demos. The demo looks to be a action packed ride offering "An intense, fast-paced, authentic experience." I myself haven't downloaded it, as I'm kinda busy, but it looks like something i will try, and from what I've seen from screens and such, it looks pretty promising.

Disabling PSN supposedly stops the PS3 GTA4 lock up problems.

With the recent release of GTA4 came a horde of people experiencing lock ups in the PS3 version of GTA 4. well now there's a fix available, and its a simple as disabling PSN. in disabling it, it stops the game looking for a connection every two minutes witch causes the lock up, i haven't tried it myself as my GTA is on 360, but by the looks of thing on forums and such, it seems to work in most situations.

We are back from a very long Hiatus!

Hi guys, ConsolePad is back from a 5 month Hiatus. The reason we had to go on a hiatus was, as you know, this blog is doesn't receive any funding, and is run in addition to my real job, making it hard to find the time in my busy schedule to post.

Devil May Cry 4 Demo to be Released on Xbox 360 and PS3.

The newest installment of the Devil May Cry franchise is due for release next year and to get people more exited about the game they are releasing a Demo in early 2008. The Demo will be centred around the new character Nero and will feature levels "chosen to showcase Devil May Cry 4's varied locales and allow gamers to familiarize themselves with Nero's unique abilities."

So something to look forward in the new year regarding Demo's. I know i will be pre-ordering the game no matter what as Devil May Cry is simply one of the best games ever made! :P

Rumor Alert! Dream Cast 2?

Over the last couple of days the Internet has been set ablaze because of rumors of Sega developing a new Dream Cast system. The rumors started when Sega re-applied to trademark the Dream Cast logo and name.

But today Sega have stated they don't know why trade mark was updated and that Sega are content on the current status they are in, and would only consider going into the console market if they went though a period of "outstanding growth".

Oh well maybe in a few years we mite see a new Sega console but for now it looks like just a rumor taken to seriously.

Halo 3 'Heroic Map Pack', Amazing!

Images have been released by Bungie today of the new Halo 3 map pack. The pack contains 3 maps all having different purposes the first "Rat's Nest," an indoor playground for Rifling, the second "Standoff," a Vally with a giant Halo-esc dish and the final "Foundry," mainly for those of you who still think forge is fun.


The pack will cost 800 MS points, but for those cheep gamers out there it will come available free in early 2008.

First Screen Shot and Details of Street Fighter IV.

The new Street Fighter game first details emerge today with the first screen! The game will be 3D this time around with the classic 2D gameplay we've come to know and love.

News originated from One-Up, and the first screen has also been shown. This game will feature the characters Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li and Dhalsim from the previous games but none others have been confirmed. The game will have a special feature in January's edition of Electronic Gaming Monthly so keep your eyes open for that issue.

Interview - Gamespot Staying Coy Over Jeff Gerstmann Dismissal.

A recent statement has been released on the Gamespot website regarding the incident evolving Eidos and Jeff Gerstmann's dismissal here's a section from the full interview:

Q: Was Eidos Interactive upset by the game's review?

A: It has been confirmed that Eidos representatives expressed their displeasure to their appropriate contacts at GameSpot, but not to editorial directly. It was not the first time a publisher has voiced disappointment with a game review, and it won't be the last. However, it is strict GameSpot policy never to let any such feelings result in a review score to be altered or a video review to be pulled.

Q: Did Eidos' disappointment cause Jeff to be terminated?
A: Absolutely not.

Q: Did Eidos' disappointment cause the alteration of the review text?
A: Absolutely not.

Q: Did Eidos' disappointment lead to the video review being pulled down?
A: Absolutely not.

Still not giving any reason over why Jeff was fired. They seem pretty obligated to stand by there guns on this one. Many people in the gaming industry have been criticising Gamespot for Firing Jeff Because of a review of Kane & Lynch he scored 6/10. Eidos weren't very pleased with the 6/10 and got him fired, but how does a publisher have the authority to get Gamepot to fire someone?

Top Ten Games Kids Shouldn't Be Getting - Fail!

Mediawise released a 'top ten games to avoid' for children and teenagers here how it goes:

Now if you know a younger member in your family check there games i bet at least 1 off that list he/she will have. I can tell you from personal experience that my brother of age 13 has Assassins Creed, Call Of Duty 4 and The Darkness. I can bet from all the millions of those games sold at least over one quarter are owned by persons under 17. Even playing Xbox Live you can tell with all the high voices coming over the mic half of them are between 12-16 years of age.

Now I'm not saying games should be banned for kids, I'm saying there's no way to stop kids from buying these games, so stop your complaining and solve the real issues in the world like poverty and war.

Burnout Paradise Demo Dated.

Watch out folks! the next Burnout game is coming soon and to get people in the mood a demo is being released on the 13th of December. There are no specifics yet on which console the demo is for but I'm guessing it will be xbox 360 and PS3 seeing as the PSN update takes place on the 13th.

Personally i will be downloading this demo seeing as i haven't purchased a driving game since Forza 2 and will be exited to find out how this game will play.

CES To Feature Playable Version of Soul Calibur IV!

Looks like Namco Bandai will be going into this years Consumer Electronics Show with a full arsenal of wow as they will let people at the invite only event to get a hands on with the latest Soul Calibur game.

From the picture you can see there's a massive great question mark where a guy should be so you can only imagine it to be a new character. We will have to wait till jan 8th to see i guess.

FIFA 08 Sells One Million in The UK!

FIFA 08 the football simulation game is the first game to sell over 1 million in Britain, this may not sound a big deal to all those American or Japanese readers but, the UK isn't as big of a market as the US and Japan. Even halo 3 hasn't sold as much over here in the UK. EA say its down to the key new feature implanted into this years addition taking features from madden like the 'be a pro' mode helping it gain this success.
